Transponder Keys

In the past, if you needed a new or replacement transponder key, you'd have to contact a local dealer who would then source one from the manufacturer. Not surprisingly, this is a costly and time consuming exercise.

Smithlocks offers a cheaper and faster alternative to dealerships. Keys can be duplicated within minutes at our service centre, or in our mobile locksmith workshop. If you've lost your keys, no worries, we don't need them to replace your key.

At Smithlocks we're proud that we can cut and code transponder car keys for more makes and models than any other locksmith in Tasmania.

European Cars
Other locksmiths will tell you european car keys can't be cloned. They can. We code keys for Mercedes, Peugeot, Saab, Land Rover, Audi and many others. If we haven't listed your european car here, don't worry, chances are we do it. Contact us, or just fill out our quote request form and we'll advise whether it can be done and how much it will cost.

Australian & Japanese
We also cut factory keys for all the major Australian, Japanese, US and Chinese manufacturers, all at a fraction of dealership prices. Request a quote today. There's no obligation and you don't even have to speak to anyone. You won't find cheaper prices, and you won't find anyone more knowledgeable about automotive keys than Smithlocks.
